What does Mumbul mean?

Mumbul means “natural spring” in Balinese.

When did you open?

Mumbul started around 2006 and we took over the business in January 2011.

How can I get to your place and do you offer transport?

The easiest way to get to our place is to order transport from our driver. He will pick you up from the airport for 700,000 rupiah. This is the price for the whole car – not per person. The other option is to use Perama shuttle bus. You can find directions and maps to our place here.

How long does it take to get to your place from the airport?

The drive takes about 3 hours, but it is a very scenic drive and there are many photo opportunities along the way.

Are there any ATMs close by?

There is a BCA bank ATM in the Indomaret convenience store, in the gasoline station, which you pass coming from Singaraja. It is about a 5 minute walk from Mumbul. There are also ATMs located in the central Lovina area.

How far is it to the beach?

It is a short walk to the beach from our place (5-10 minutes).

Is breakfast included and what does it include?

Yes, breakfast is included in the room price and you can read more about it here: free breakfast.

How reliable is your wifi internet?

We use the internet constantly ourselves. If there is ever a problem we are onto it straight away. Currently, we are using Telkom’s Indihome fibre internet service. We are using the 40Mbps package and have several modems around our property so you can get internet access everywhere including around the pool and in the guest rooms. Our place is popular with digital nomads and people looking for a coworking space in Lovina.

Does Mumbul have sea views?

Our upstairs rooms have sea views. All of the other rooms look out onto the adjacent rice field. It is quiet and relaxing and not a hawker in sight!

Do I need to pay a deposit?

For us to reserve a room for you, you will need to pay a 30% deposit for your accommodation, which is payable by credit card.

How many people does each room sleep?

Each room sleeps two people, except for room 2 or “Kalimantan” which has 1 double and 2 single beds – perfect for families. If you want to have more than 2 guests stay in the room, the cost is 100,000 rupiah per person, per night.  The same applies to the Kalimantan room.  We can provide an air mattress which extra people can sleep on, or you are welcome to share the beds! Kids under 10 can stay for free.

Do you accept foreign currency?

No, we don’t. Please pay settle the bill in Indonesian rupiah.  There are many money changers around Lovina.

Do you accept credit cards?

We accept Visa or Mastercard (3% surcharge applies).

Can you organize dolphin tours?

Yes, we can organize dolphin tours and any other tours around Lovina or Bali. The price of a dolphin tour is 150,000 rupiah per person (fixed price).

How can I get around Lovina?

We have two mountain bikes which you can rent for free. You can also rent a motorbike (automatic) for 60,000 rupiah per day, or you can hire a car with or without a driver.

Do you have a restaurant?

Yes, we have a restaurant which serves mostly Indonesian and Balinese food. It is up until 10 p.m.

What are your check in and check out times?

Our check in time is 2:00 pm and check out at 12:00 pm. Please let us know if you would like to organize and earlier or later check out time. If you are going to be arriving late at night (after 10pm), we would appreciate it if you could give us a call or send us an email to let us know in advance.

Mumbul Guesthouse is a small family run hotel/guesthouse located on the north coast of Bali. We have just eight rooms, all of which look out onto the adjacent rice-field.  We look forward to seeing you in Bali!
